🌊SUIT OF CUPS

What do Cups represent in tarot?

The Suit of Cups is the water suit of the tarot, and it governs the emotional life: love, friendship, family, intuition, and the inner currents that move beneath what we say and do. Cups cards describe how things feel rather than how they look — a reading heavy in Cups usually points to matters of the heart, relationships, or a decision that logic alone cannot settle.

The fourteen cards run from the Ace, a new emotional beginning, through the numbered cards’ story of connection, celebration, loss and contentment, to the court cards — Page, Knight, Queen and King — which describe people (or sides of yourself) at increasing levels of emotional maturity. Reversed Cups often signal blocked feelings, emotional withdrawal, or giving more than you receive.
